The beginning of Kerala Minerals and Metal Co., Ltd. (The Kerala Minerals and Metals Ltd, referred to KMML company) was founded in 1932 as a private enterprise in 1956. Ltd. The two companies merged by the FX Perira and Sons (Travancore) Pvt is State-owned operation, changed its name to KMLL company on April 1, 1972.
In 1974, the company's cooperation with the United States Benelite, British Woodall Duckham Branch US-based company and the United States (Kerr McGee) company, using Branch US-based technology to build chloride process titanium white powder factory.
The factory was put into operation in 1984 and has been continuously expanded to a production capacity of 35,000 tons/year.
