May Saab Automobile sales fell to 290 in Sweden

Saab Automobile Co., a Swedish automaker owned by Prudential in the Netherlands, said on Wednesday (June 1, 2011) that due to the inability to pay auto parts suppliers arrears, after nearly eight weeks of work stoppages, the company Saab Automobile sales in May 2011 are expected to have fallen to the company's car sales bottom. According to relevant data, in its main market, Sweden, the company’s car sales in May fell 59% year-on-year to 290 vehicles.

Magnus Hansson, head of Saab Sweden, said in a statement: “We estimate that sales of Saab vehicles have bottomed out in May this year. What we can do now is to work together with our dealers to upgrade Saab. Sales of cars."

A few days ago, China’s largest car dealership giant Group signed a cooperation agreement with Saab to purchase a car worth 30 million euros from Saab. However, the huge purchase of 24% of Saab's parent company, Spyker, and the formation of a joint venture car company with Saab still have to wait for approval from Chinese government agencies.
