It is reported that Cargotec's MacGregor has received an order to provide two 50-ton SWL heavy-duty grab cranes. It is reported that the two K5036-4HD MacGregor cranes are designed for a 68-meter long floating barge that is being built by PT. Karya Tekhnik Utama (KTU) in Batam, Indonesia.
Anders Berencsy, sales manager of McGee's Transloading Crane, pointed out that “Indonesia is one of the fastest growing bulk exporters in the world. This order further strengthens our influence in this market. Historically, KTU Shipyard has used other manufacturers to produce This type of crane, but this time KTU decided to install the MacGregor crane."
The MacGregor K50 crane has a long-term, reliable service lifecycle developed to meet the market's demand for high-performance bulk handling capabilities. MacGregor's first installation of this type was delivered to Indonesia in 2011. The crane order is expected to be delivered in November this year.
