Dow Chemical Company announced on January 6 that it will select Honeywell’s proprietary technology to construct a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant in Freeport, Texas, to convert propane from shale gas to propylene. The project is scheduled to be put into production in 2015, when about 750,000 tons of polymer grade propylene will be produced each year.
