40 Projects in China Launches Bosch's 3-Year Plan for Charity Projects

In January 2013, Bosch China Philanthropy Center officially released the three-year plan for 2012-2015 charity project , namely, “Expo World Expo Project”, “Bosch Vocational Education Project” and “Bosch” during the three years from August 2012 to August 2015 The four philanthropic projects, Poverty Alleviation Project and Bosch Community Project, have a total of 40 charitable projects, focusing on supporting education development and poverty alleviation in the central and western regions. The project will cover about 13 provinces, of which 13 projects were started in 2012.

During the implementation of the project, Bosch signed a project cooperation agreement with funded institutions, local governments, and other parties to clarify the responsibilities of each party and establish a monitoring mechanism to ensure the smooth implementation of the project and the rational use of funding.

Bosch Vocational Education Project

The Bosch Vocational Education Program supports the development of vocational education in underdeveloped areas in the central and western regions by subsidizing poor students in vocational schools, providing internship opportunities, selecting outstanding graduates for employment, rewarding outstanding teachers, and providing professional auto repair inspection equipment. The project aims to encourage vocational college students in underdeveloped areas to master survival skills, and also to reserve excellent first-line talents for the manufacturing industry, especially the automotive industry. At present, the Bosch China Charity Center has launched pilot projects of Bosch Inspirational Class in Hechi City of Guangxi and Danzhai County of Guizhou, accumulating experience for the promotion of the model nationwide.

Bo World Expo Project

"Bo World Expo Project" is dedicated to improving the learning and living conditions of teachers and students in primary and secondary schools in underdeveloped areas. In the next three years, Bosch China Charity Center plans to set up a “Pai'ai Primary School” in seven provinces including Qinghai, Gansu, Tibet, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Xinjiang, and Sichuan; in the case of early pilot success, 21 counties in Ningxia Select a middle school or primary school to open "Pai Ai Cafeteria"; establish a "Pangai Library" in Nanzhao No.1 Middle School in Henan Province.

Bosch Poverty Alleviation Project

The Bosch China Philanthropy Center actively participates in non-governmental organization (NGO) social development research projects through the “Bosch Poverty Alleviation Project” and selects cooperation projects in the country’s contiguous destitute areas, striving to improve the local ecological environment. In 2012, Bosch participated in the “Development of Early Childhood Development Project” of the China Development Research Foundation. The project includes two parts: nutrition intervention and preschool education. The pilots of the second cycle will continue to be carried out in Qinghai and Yunnan, and carry out long-term follow-up studies of the project in order to advance the formulation of national early childhood development policies.

Bosch Community Project

The "Bosch Community Project" program participates in the community public welfare undertakings of Bosch's business in China through the establishment of Bosch Scholarships and Bosch volunteer community services. It is expected that Bosch will establish volunteer organizations and develop 3,000 volunteers in various business units in China by 2015.
